The Brand new AmaMagna (maiden voyage 5 May 2019) is twice the width of traditional river cruise ships, yet welcomes only 20 percent more guests, allowing generous personal space – with more than half of the 98 staterooms designated as suites measuring between 355 and 710 sq. ft. All staterooms and suites are appointed with stylish décor and natural wood accents. The suites feature full outside balconies, open seating areas and luxurious bathrooms, complete with double sinks and walk-in showers. Six Grand Suites (474 sq. ft.) and an Owner’s Suite (710 sq. ft.) provide even more amenities with separate seating areas and sizable bathrooms complete with spa-like bathtubs.

The ship also provides enhanced entertainment offerings with an onboard cinema and amenities, including a large boutique; an expansive Zen Wellness Studio, complete with a large exercise area offering group classes  focused on stretching, cardio and core strengthening and spin classes led by a professionally trained Wellness Host,  a juice bar and two massage rooms, along with manicure, pedicure and hair services; and a sun deck with a large heated pool, relaxing whirlpool and sky bar. All sun deck facilities are easily accessible via an innovative pop-up elevator serving all four decks.

AmaMagna – Bigger does mean Better

Berthed in Passau the AmaMagna shows off her size being twice the width of a regular River Ship (22 meters vs 11 meters). But with only 196 pax max (20-30 more than a regular vessel) she is offering more space for spend. However she can only navigate the Danube between Vilshofen (Germany) & Rousse (Romania) 2x 7 nights or 1x 14 nights.

Dining Options

AmaMagna – Dining Options

Unlike most River Ships that offer 1 Main dining venue that you are stuck to a fixed time and table and maybe lucky to have a 2nd venue for pre-bookings, the AmaMagna has 4 to choose from, all included in the price with Wine & Beer as well. Main Restaurant, The Chefs Table offering demonstration cooking, Jimmys Bar & Restaurant offering casual dining with the focus on sitting around tables and benches with groups of friends with ‘Sharing Plates’ and after 10pm turns into a funky venue for Fine Wine drinking, the Al Fresco for the summer months with a ‘Conservatory’ feel and also a space for late ‘Risers’ breakfast until 11am.

AmaMagna – Cabins

Like most River Ships the ‘AmaMagna’ has 3 decks catering for all budgets, from the window cabins on the lower deck (205 sq. ft) to the owners suite (710 sq ft). The forward suites (355 sq. ft) have a separate toilet cubicle to the bathroom (double vanity) and dividing doors to separate the entrance/bathroom to the bedroom / living area. All equipped with all the mod cons like mood lighting (iPad controlled) usb ports and PC for connectivity and infotainment.
